Assistive or Adaptive Technology (AT) commonly refers to "...products, devices or equipment that are used to maintain, increase or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities..."

An Assistive Technology Service directly assists an individual with a disability in the selection, acquisition, or use of an assistive technology device including:

Purchasing, leasing, or otherwise providing for the acquisition of AT

Selecting, designing, fitting, customizing, adapting, applying, maintaining, repairing, or replacing the AT equipment or device

Coordinating and using other therapies, interventions, or services with AT devices

Training or technical assistance for an individual with a disability
AT devices can range from low-tech tools such as book holders that cost less than $50 to high-tech systems such as voice synthesizers which are much more expensive. Most importantly, AT could be useful to assist you in performing the necessary functions of your business.
