A Message from The Abilities
Fund Executive Director: Patti Lind
Welcome to the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program portion of our website. The EWD Program is in its 12th year of operation, and since inception, has helped more than 300 Iowans start, expand or acquire businesses of their own.
The EWD Program exclusively serves individuals with disabilities who are clients of Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Iowa Department for the Blind. Using a shoulder-to-shoulder approach, the EWD staff manages technical assistance efforts from application and feasibility through business planning, capitalization and business start-up.
To see if this program is right for you, ask your counselor to refer you to one of 28 Exploring Entrepreneurship training sessions being held throughout the state of Iowa this program year.
