Informed Choices

Properly assisting entrepreneurs with disabilities requires gathering specific information related to Social Security benefits, assistive technology, business concept and more.

The Abilities Fund has created Informed Choices to gather the information necessary to help identify potential sources of assistance and funding for the entrepreneur.  Also, Informed Choices collects data which determines if the client can utilize Social Security Work Incentives and/or state vocational rehabilitation programs.

Our goal is to properly prepare individuals for microenterprise services, and at the same time, provide microenterprise practitioners with valuable information about the client.  We have discovered that this approach allows for customized services and sustainable outcomes.

For more information about how Informed Choices can change the way you provide services to entrepreneurs with disabilities or on creating partnerships with your state Vocational Rehabilitation Programs please contact Patti Lind.
